Introducing

TRACKSIDE SELF-REGISTRATION

Trackside has developed a new self-registration program to be released in 2008.  The Trackside Self-Registration will work in conjunction with your current Trackside database and allow the racers to swipe their AMA card and use a touch screen to sign themselves into your event.  Here is the high-level of how the process will work to speed up your registration.

1. The race promoter will set up 1, 2, or 3 PCs each with a touch screen monitor.  A special touch screen monitor and your average PC will be needed for each self-registration station.

2. The self-registration stations can be set up and ready for racers to use when they enter your grounds. No need for registration to be open at that time.  A self-registration station can be open all night and into the early morning allowing racers to come and signup long before registration is open.

3.  Racers go to the station and swipe their AMA card.  The screens then take the user through simple questions and screens allowing the user to enter one or more classes via the Trackside touch screen program.  The racer is signed into the database for the selected Classes with the selected Racing Numbers and Brands.  If a number is already taken for that class, the racer is informed and must select a different number.

4.  At the end of registering, the user gets a printed release for each class.  Trackside will recognize any rider who is under 18 and also print the minor release needed.  The racer is then instructed to take this release to the "cashier" when registration is open.

5.  The cashier takes the entry fee and marks the racer as PAID in Trackside.

Even though only racers with a valid AMA card may use the self-registration, this process will be a great benefit to you allowing your registration to run very smooth and take less time.

If you would like to be one of the first promoters using the Trackside Self-Registration, please contact John Dains and express your interest.

DOWNLOAD SAMPLE KIOSK STATION SOFTWARE.  Copy the file you download into your C:\Trackside folder then create a shortcut to it on your desktop.  The program will use the current database your Trackside Software is pointing to.  Please note: In the sample program, there are no real updates to your database.
